depends robster, did you break the rules? were they registered in time? had they played a qualifying game?  i know its harsh  on your club, but your probably paying the cost of someone cheating in the past.

As much as I feel that the rule is injust, we still broke it, albeit inadvertently, so we've got to pay the price.

It could have been worse - we lost the CYCL premiership league title due to inadvertently playing an ineligible player about 10 years ago, so you'd have thought we'd have known the rule book inside and out!

Answer is to ensure all juniors are registered prior to start of season (we try to esnure all U15's and older are registered).  Whilst a pain, this avoids the situation.

As a member of a club who benefitted from re-instatement to the Tinker cup, I voted YES.

I am unsure how Upper Hopton "B" fell foul of the rules, but I guess it too was linked to the playing of one or more unqualified juniors.

To be absolutely fair, Upper Hopton well and truely deserved to go through to the next round having out played us in every aspect of the game.

My club, Crossbank. have in the past had our own problems with ejection from the Tinker Cup and at last nights selection meeting we tried to ring our League's erstwhile Registration Secretary Mr H Marsden to seek clarification of the rules. Apparently Mr Marsden enjoys a night out at the Bingo on a Thursday and wasn't availbale to take our call!!!!!!!
